The best way to experience Halong Bay is to take a one or two-night cruise through the bay on a junk boat. These cruises range in price and amenities. Some are geared toward budget backpackers, while others are more luxurious and designed for couples and families. Unless you are on a super tight budget, we highly recommend steering clear of the cheapest tours and at least opting for a mid-range cruise.
Halong Bay is a truly unique destination and is one of the most breathtaking natural places we have ever been.
